Keegan (the owner) tried to remake the map 5 times so the game went thought a lot of map concepts like, scary baboon type map,  gtag map, indoor map like monkeys realm.

The first vr game made by Keegan was named Monkefun he was able to post it to applab till his laptop broke losing all his progress. It would take him a year to get a pc and make the game you see before you.

The way the co-founder and the owner met:

The co founder (isthatnumber0nE) was playing some gorilla tag till somebody joined the lobby. Keegan vr has joined the lobby. Keegan vr spoke out "im looking for beta testers".  Isthatnumber0ne was nearby and heard Keegan's remark and later said "I can be a beta tester." 

So, isthatnumber0ne and Keegan went into a code. Isthatnumber0ne downloaded the apk and joined in monke fun. They exchanged meta quest friend requests and both left.  Isthatnumber0ne waited a year with no updates. Isthatnumber0ne worked on his own game. so to check up on Keegan he called his brother using the meta quest app. They later friended each other on discord and started to help each others game.
